WHAT OUR WARRANTY DOESN'T COVER
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
WEAR AND TEAR
Our jewellery is handmade to a very high standard and any wear and tear or damage after delivery is the customer's responsibility.
THIRD PARTY DAMAGE
We cannot cover any work that has been carried out on your jewellery by an unauthorised third party and this makes any warranty you have with us null and void.
LOSS OR DAMAGE
If you lost or damaged your jewellery, it is not covered by our warranty. We strongly recommend you insure your latest purchase.
HOW TO EXERCISE THIS SERVICE?
If anything happens to your jewellery, whether it's your fault or ours, the best thing to do is to inform us ASAP before taking any action. We will typically ask you to send it back to us for an assessment to understand the problem. We will then either repair the item for free under your warranty, or we will charge you a small fee for the repair if the damage lies outside the terms of the warranty agreement. We will always be transparent and let you know before starting work, if any charges will be incurred by you.
We suggest you inspect your jewellery regularly. If you are worried at all please make an appointment for a professional jewellery check. All items need upkeep from time to time, and we are always happy to help. Postage to return the item for assessment will be your responsibility but if it proves to be a manufacturing fault after assessment, we will refund the postage amount. We can only cover the cost of standard delivery via Royal Mail.
If you prefer to send the parcel via any other courier company, please contact us in advance with the proposed postage cost for approval.
TAKING CARE OF YOUR JEWELLERY
All our jewellery is fit and proper for everyday wear and tear. Metals used in jewellery-making are soft and malleable so that they can be crafted to the precision required. They need regular care to ensure that they last a lifetime. Please read the standard care required to protect your jewellery.
- Remove jewellery before showering or washing. Soap can cause a film to form on jewellery which can leave it looking dull.
- There are a number of commercial cleaning products available in your local supermarket to clean jewellery.
- A soft chamois cloth is an effective and inexpensive way to keep jewellery clean and polished.
- Do not ever use toothpaste to clean jewellery.
- Be careful of chlorine. Especially at high temperatures it can permanently damage and discolour jewellery.
- Do not wear gold while using chlorine bleach.
- Do not wear gold while in a swimming pool or hot tub.
- You can remove everyday build-ups of tarnish with jewellery cleaner. After brushing, simply rinse with lukewarm water and leave to dry.
- Always clean earring hooks with an alcohol swab before wearing new earrings.
- Apply make-up, hair spray and perfume before putting on jewellery. The chemicals in these products will damage the finish of the precious metal and could also damage the gemstones.
